Women with Breast Implants Have a Lower Risk of Cancer?

In recent studies to further confirm that breast implants have no impact on a patient’s likelihood of getting breast cancer, findings went a step further and apparently found that women with breast implants actually have a LOWER risk of breast cancer than the average woman. 

Not a significantly compelling as in you should run out and get implants type of lower risk mind you, but a statistically recognizabel lower risk than average at least. 

Although the reason for this new discovery and correlation is not clear at this time,  a study of more than 24,000 women who underwent breast augmentation surgery in the 70′s and 80′s, when silicone implants were still legal and were actually the sole implant used in these surgeries, researchers in Canada had found that the women had a 43% lower risk rate compared with the general population of women, without implants that is.

Amazingly enough, they also showed a lower-than-average risk of developing cancer of any kind.
