Man Boobs and Cardio

Cardio workouts, as we all know, are one of the best ways to lower your overall body (BMI), and to help kick your metabolism into a higher gear, making your body more of a lean, mean fat burning and calorie burning machine.

What men who have gynecomastia, or just have a little bit of sagging skin around the chest area, making it look as if they have small breasts, need to know is that cardio is a very necessary part of your effective man boob prevention campain.

Whether you have the actual medical condition of gynecomastia, which is hard to get rid of without surgery, or you just have a little more tissue in the chest area than you would like, you absolutely have to do cardio to work extra fat off the body.  You are likely overweight if you do not have the gynecomastia condition but you are seeing male breast growth.

So, the strategy here is to reduce overall body fat, which means that the fat naturally gets pulled off of the most unnecessary parts of the body first. For both men and women, an unnecessary part where fat is stored is in this chest/breast area. So if you lose fat, then the breasts are one of the first areas it should be taken from.

Taking in less dietary fat is also important.  If you take in too much dietary fat, then you will store more fat.  Also, if you take in too many calories, chances are you’re taking in too much fat as well, and these can both contribute to male breast growth because men don’t store fat anywhere other than their bellies and the chest area typically.

You’ve seen this familiar sight one too many times.  Guy is all top heavy. He may have the skinniest lower arms, legs and butt, but then he may have a hug belly and man boobs to boot.  That’s a pretty typical body type and problem area for many men, so it’s a point of a lot of insecurity and embarrassment for lots of guys, especially as they age and have a harder time keeping their fat well distributed and their overall body fat down.
