Lindsay Lohan has had quite the rocky public persona over the years as she grew up in front of the camera as well as in front of the paparazzi, first starting off as the fresh faced, innocent young actress in the Disney movies “The Parent Trap”, and then moving on to a more adult role as a teen in Tina Fey’s “Mean Girls”.
It’s somewhere after that movie that Lindsay seemed to run into trouble at every turn, being busted for things, being suspected of having a drug and alcohol problem, and going through boyfriends (and supposedly girlfriends) like underwear for a while. It seemed like she was destined to be a child star who had a tragic end, and it still does in many ways.
She was recently accused of stealing a very high end necklace from a ritzy jewelry store in California, which she vehemently denies, saying that she understood the necklace was a loaner.
Hmm, this definitely makes you scratch your head and wonder if she’s just a plain liar or if she was set up by someone who just doesn’t like her, but usually the simplest explanation is the right one, the principle of Occam’s razor is likely the right principle to use here.
Robert Rodriguez was very smart to put Lindsay in his movie “Machete”, which is a half farcical, half cool as a music video movie he made based off of one of the joke trailers that he put in his joint venture double feature with Quentin Tarantino “Grindhouse” with Danny Trejo as the main character named “Machete” a former black ops guy who’d weapon of choice is the machete.
He also cast other under utilized and pop culture icons who may have had trouble with the law, very little Hollywood work, or tarnished images like Steven Segal, Don Johnson and Lindsay Lohan along with big names like Robert DeNiro and Jessica Alba. Brilliant, and I highly suggest you see this movie, it’s very fun and cool and kitchy.
Lohan does a great job at her character, but there was buzz about her showing her breasts in the movie which don’t appear to be true when you watch it. It clearly seems to be a body double who’s wearing a blond wig that does the breast scene with her and her mother, topless, in a pool with Danny Trejo between the two, kissing them – a totally ridiculous scene as a testament to Trejo’s coolness.
Lindsay has always been known to have big breasts that are natural – she seemed to develop them at a younger age, but I don’t think the breasts in the movie “Machete” are really hers.
