Gynecomastia Affects Nearly 30% Adult Men
Gynecomastia, or the condition not so affectionately referred to by some less than tactful people as “man boobs”, affects a lot more men and even more boys in their adolescents than we thought. Statistics recently released show that up to 30% of adult men today suffer some form of gynecomastia, the condition where a man’s breasts grow like a woman’s, and the man develops a saggy looking “breast” where his pec muscles should be.
I’m updating this older post because there have been developments and there is not a male breast reduction pill that has been introduced to market that may help you NATURALLY get rid of your gynecomastia.
This condition is often embarrassing and uncomfortable for men, and often the reason that men do not like to disrobe in front of partners, or God forbid, in front of others, such as on a public beach with your swim trunks on! For men with this condition, going to the beach or disrobing for romantic partners can be uncomfortable. Some men even go to the extremes where they never want to expose their upper bodies. Imaging living like that!
Surgery to correct the gynecomastia condition can be performed, but of course it would be at a cost, as most insurance companies unfortunately do not look at gynecomastia surgery as a medical necessity, but rather as more of a cosmetic elective surgery, since it is not life threatening and does not really affect health, except the mental health of the patient who has it.
Surgery involves going in and liposuctioning the fat out of the breast pocket, then going in and either tightening the remaining tissue and removing the gland, or simply tightening the tissue, depending on the specific procedure and the doctor who is performing it.
Male breast reduction surgery can be performed different ways, so it’s important to see your doctor’s previous work on previous patients before making any deposits.
Not only is this condition disconcerting for full grown men, but it also plagues boys going through puberty, as often times there are hormonal imbalances in their bodies, which lead to the production of breast tissue due to a possible overflow of the female hormone estrogen.
