Maidenform Wireless Bra Review
I think I have found a new favorite bra. I was in the Kohl’s department store the other day, and I was supposed to be shopping for others, but a new rack of bras that was on sale caught my attention, and I ended up buying one of them. Maidenform makes great bras – in my opnion, they are much superior to the Victoria’s Secret bras, and usually they are priced much more fairly as well. They are well made and last forever it seems.Â
Well, I ended up buying a nude toned wireless, padless bra that was advertised as providing support without being a nuisance or uncomfortable. Just a warning though, this bra is extremely thin, and will not protect against nipples showing through if you’re prone to getting hard nipples, like I am, when you are cold, so it’s probably best used as a winter bra, or only under heavier shirts like sweatshirts and sweater, or with a layered looked so you are protected against the nipples showing through if they do get hard.Â
It is made of a very stretchy, thin material that is almost like some underwear that I wear. It is some sort of nylon mix, and boy, let me tell you – it’s comfy. It offers a natural breast enhancement because it does enhance the curves, but it doesn’t do it by pushing or shoving your breasts upward, rather it shapes them nicely and leaves them at the level they’re supposed to be, if that makes any sense at all to anyone but me! Most bras that I have to wear to work are the kind that have a bit of padding and support, and usually have underwires. Even if they don’t they seem invasive to me.Â
While I would prefer to wear no bra at all, I’d have to say this Maidenform seemless bra with no underwire is a great alternative for those that hate bras. While it cannot be worn for all occasions, it’s a great bra for errands and things where you just throw on a tshirt. It’s also very reasonably priced at $14 because of it’s simply construction. Oh, the straps are also very thin and uninvasive, which adds to its comfort and versatility as a comfy bra.

Why the Perfect Bra Would Be a Best Seller
I have talked to all my female friends about this, and let me tell you, there is almost no woman who will not agree with me when I say that we all really can’t stand wearing bras. I keep asking around to see if any of my girlfriends have managed to find a perfect, comfortable bra (that means comfortable ALL DAY, not just for a couple hours or when you first put it on), so if any of you readers have discovered this seeming holy grail, and it’s not ridiculously expensive or hard to find, please do tell!
You see, I’ve tried all the more expensive brands – the Vanity Fair, Calvin Klein, Victoria’s Secret bras (which are expensive and seem to fall apart easily, and that’s not just according to me, but many of my friends as well), then there’s Olga, who I actually liked but then they stopped carrying the one bra they made that I liked, and there are countless others I’ve spent my money on and they are of varying degrees of comfort, but none so far have really wowed me in their quality and endurance, but their all day support, without feeling restrictive or pinchy by the end of the day.
I mean, there is a reason that the first thing most women rip off when they get home from a long day at work, is their bra! That’s the first thing I’m concerned with taking off. My shirt barely comes off and I’m tearing at my bra clasps to get the darned contraption off as quickly as I can, so I can enjoy the rest of my evening in bra-free peace and comfort.
There has to be some bra maker out there that has the best bra in the world – something that not only fits perfect, but moves with the body, almost like you can’t even tell that it is there, never restraining-feeling or squeezing your chest. That’s what I’m looking for. Hmm, sounds like a good business idea, maybe I’ll partner with some major bra maker! I know, I’m being silly, that’s probably already been done, right?

Fitting Yourself for a Bra
I didn’t used to think that bra fitting was such an issue any more, what with Victoria Secret offering their free measurements, and hardly any department stores asking you if you needed to be fitted, it was always presumed that women mostly knew what size bra they should be buying. Boy are they wrong! I would recommend you check out a larger department store like Macy’s or Nordstrom, or if you’re willing to spend a bit more, a Victoria’s Secret store, is you want a professional to fit you for a bra.Â
The thing is, you might be one bra size today and a totally different one a year from now. Many things affect our bra size, including weight gain, weight loss, changes in exercise habits, having children, our hormone fluctuation, going on or off the pill, and just plain getting older are all influences that can greatly affect our ideal bra size.
When I say ideal bra size, I mean one that doesn’t make our breasts feel too cramped, or too pushed up, or just plain like they don’t have enough support. I know you’ve all had one of those bras that was way too tight, or just didn’t fit snug enough no matter how many notches your brought it down in the strap. Or how about those ones where you always have it on the last possible adjustment on the straps, but it still seems to not give enough room between your breasts and your shoulders?
I’ve been there with all of these scenarios, and the truth is, you should really get professionally fitted for bras once every year or so, or whenever you feel like your current bra size is outdated for your body. This means going to a professional bra fitter at a large department store or perhaps a lingerie specialty store such as Fredericks of Hollywood, or Victorias Secret.Â
Just ask for a professional bra fitting, and they’ll whip out their measuring tape and proceed to take several measurements of your bosom area, starting with the circumference of the breasts themselves, and then taking measurements around the rib cage and so on and so forth. What you get in the end is a cusomized bra fitting that is probably going to be the opposite of what you guessed you were.Â
You will enjoy months of unparalleled comfort and perfect support if you try to remember to do this periodically for the comfort, health, and support of your breasts!

I’m Sick of Uncomfortable Bras
This is just me, going off on how much I really hate to wear bras. As soon as I’m home from work, the bra comes right off. If I could go braless everywhere without drawing stares from men or scowls from women, I would in a heart beat. think about it, bras usually just compress your breasts, and many times they are totally uncomfortable on your rib cage.Â
Throw an underwire in the mix or some extra padding, and I’m climbing the walls in discomfort by the end of the day. I used to wear the padded bras with underwires, when I cared about looking “hot” for guys. Now I just don’t care. My breasts look perfectly fine in an underwire-free bra with no padding or very minimal padding now, and I’m more than happy to just have them as unrestricted as I can. Even when I find a bra that fits me, it’s still not as comfortable as I feel a bra should be.Â
I mean, why hasn’t some genius created a bra that really felt like you weren’t wearing a bra? I’d pay a hundred bucks if there were such a thing, I really would. My favorite type of bra (if I have to wear one) is probably just a cotton sports bra, with minimal “support”. The more support you have, the worse it seems to squeeze, pinch and intrude on your ribs and breasts.Â
How about a bra that didn’t leave an indentation below your breasts when you take it off? Wouldn’t that be nice? I wish we could burn our bras like they did in the sixties. I mean seriously, ladies, why do we have to wear them? Why can’t we walk around free, like we should be? And who the hell invented the bra? Didn’t they know they’d make women miserable for decades upon decades? I say we band together and ban bras. I know, wishful thinking, right?Â

Estrogen May Help Fight Disease
Estrogen is a fairly controversial hormone. By that I mean that one minute you hear that phytoestrogens, the plant based natural chemical that you can get from certain herbs, seeds and veggies, are helpful and preventive against cancer and the next you hear that too much may actually help fuel cancer. Who’s to say which is actually true or has more scientific merit, but now science is saying that the actual hormone estrogen may help women in the fight against certain types of heart disease.
This is where it gets real interesting, in lab animals, the females who had their ovaries removed and therefore dropped substantially or to zero in their estrogen production, were much more likely to suffer artery and circulatory damage than those with their arteries intact, and producing adequate amounts of estrogen.Â
Not only that, but fine “grit” in the air, or otherwise known as pollution, has been found to increase the risk of heart disease in postmenopausal women substantially more than women pre-menopause, who are still producing tons of estrogen, suggesting that estrogen adds a significant added benefit and protection to heart health and protection against a big causation of heart disease in women, which I didn’t know before, is actually air pollution!

Take Action!
Do you take any sort of vitamin, herbal remedy, or natural supplement that is considered a dietary supplement? Most Americans do, and they all need to know that their right to freely purchase and have access to naturally healing and therapeutic herbal remedies and natural supplements may be in serious jeopardy.
Apparently the government is deciding right now whether it can try to govern, through it’s regulatory arm of medicines, the FDA, the health supplement industry by calling it’s supplements and natural remedies a form of medicine that they legally have the right to regulate.
Not only is this absurd, but it is a blatant move to get the government to have more control over something they should not – our health and our right to treat our health as we see fit. Folks, this is not a good sign.
The reason I say this thought is absurd is because the government arm of regulation for prescription drugs, the FDA, has failed us in so many other ways. Look at the failure to identify multiple life threatening drugs (Vioxx, other mutliple pain relievers that were found to have serious health implications, diet medications, etc that had serious health implications and were allowed to market long enough to do some serious damage) .
If you are mad like me, and want to voice your opinion, go to this URL http://www.democracyinaction.org/dia/organizationsORG/healthfreedomusa/campaign.jsp?campaign_KEY=7185Â and put your name on a signature list that tells the government you will not stand for this violation of your God-given right to treat your health and well being as you want to, with minimal interference by the government.Â
We’ve beat the odds before and had this type of meddling put down before in our right to treat ourselves naturally, but apparently the the powers that be (I have a feeling the medical industry has something to do with this), and it’s up for discussion again.
You can make a difference. Also, you can visit HealthFreedomUSA.org and read about all the ways the government is proposing to interfere in our right to access herbal remedies and natural supplements. It’s quite mind blowing, and it’ll probably get you mad!

The Downside of Huge Boobs : Back Pain
The “norm” in American society is for men to like women with large breasts, right? Well, it’s probably a mixed bag, but that’s certainly the impression most women have, which shows in the fact that thousands of women a year get breast implants to make their breasts bigger in hopes of attracting more male and female attention and envy. But do women ever really consider what it’s like to be on the flip side of small breast sizes, where the breasts are so big that they almost get in the way, and actually can go so far as to cause pain and back problems?
There are a few celebrities we know of that have had breast reductions, and have loved the results. Lots of women who have smaller breasts and always wanted to have bigger ones, feel envious of women with larger breasts because they think they get a lot of male attention, they can fill out their clothes better and they just look more feminine, but women with those naturally large breasts tend to find that they are on the side of wanting smaller ones so they don’t need to literally carry around the burden of large boobs.
Large breasts, in the D cup arena, are notorious for causing back pain, and are often the primary reason cited in breast reduction operations by the women that seek them. Heck, even some women who have gotten breast implants the size of say a Pamela Anderson double D cup, have asked for reductions because they couldn’t work out the same, couldn’t walk around for long periods of time without excrutiating back pain, and almost feel as if their large breasts are a curse rather than a “sexy” blessing.
Not only that, women with extremely large breasts often feel they are not taken as seriously by colleagues, and they may be right. They feel as if their breasts are something they’d like to hide as tastefully as possible so that people will look them in the eyes rather than at their chest when they are speaking, and they will get the professional and personal respect they deserve. This tends to happen a lot with women in the professional arena who work in an office environment and would like to have the most respect they can from male and female coworkers. Â
