MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my treasured readers out there. Have fun indulging in pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, tom turkey and dressing and all that ooey gooey sugary dessert!  It’s our day to indulge in foods we love and be with those we love. Enjoy and have a wonderful, safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

My husband and I were in the car earlier today, picking up the six foot sub for out Sunday football company later in the day, when we tuned in to a station we often listen to for it’s excellent news coverage and classical music selection, NPR in Kent Ohio.

However, I had to tune out because the emotions ran so high on the man they had on – well let me rephrase that, my emotions ran high and I almost broke down in tears just listening to his simple story of the loss of his beautiful wife on 9/11 – ten years ago today.

NPR has featured stories from those who lost loved ones in the worst American soil terrorist attack in history that occurred at the World Trade Center ten years ago to the day. It was only a few hours ago now that the twin towers fell, and our lives changed forever.

It forced us to realize that we are not invincible and that we are not immune to attacks.  It also opened our eyes to the hatred that can make terrorist groups pull these types of worthless wastes of human life off.

It was a sad day, and every time Americans relive it, it seems like it happened all over. How easy it was for us to return to our normal lives after a few years. But for those that lost loved ones, their lives will be forever touched by this tragedy in a deeply personal way.

Our prayers go out to the families of those that were lost on 9/11. We wish the best in healing and happiness for those families.

I’ve just about given up on finding the perfect bra. By perfect, I mean a bra that is just so comfortable that you wouldn’t mind actually leaving it on one second past walking in the door to the comfort of your own home from work, or somewhere else that you had to be decent for.

I mean a bra that you actually wouldn’t mind sleeping in, that doesn’t restrict your movement, your breathing, or otherwise just act as a pain in the ass to have on all day. A bra that is like underwear – very comfy underwear, that you could wear to bed and not feel like your breasts are restrained the whole time.

But, along with all this comfort, I would love to find a bra that fit the comfort bill and also happened to make your boobs look fabulous, rounded and lifted in clothes. Does such a bra exist, and if someone can tell me about it, I will probably pay quite a handsome sum to get my hands on it!

I feel like with all the ingenuity and advanced technology of today, we still have yet to perfect the good old brazier.  I mean sure, we’ve come a long way from sporting cone tits in old fashioned bras that covered just about the whole top half of your body, and the really old days when women were forced to wear almost full body corsets just to stay decent.

But we still haven’t really had access to the ultimately comfortable, and shapely and beautiful bra for women to wear and be proud of, have we?  I’ve come close, but the bras that happend to feel like I was wearing nothing also had very thin and stretchy fabric that didn’t cover my nipples when I got cold.

Either that, or they made me look like I was flat chested and shapeless, but they felt fabulous. Women are looking for it all these days – they want to ultimate in comfort and the ultimate in appearance. So come on bra companies, give us what we’re asking for! I know one of you can do it, and when you do, you’ll blow all your competition away!

I will volunteer to be a test subject if anyone needs one!

There are a lot of ways you can show or tell your man how much he means to you on this St. Valentines day, but I guarantee one of his favorite ways would be to go buy some sexy lingerie – perhaps a lacy red V Day bra and some bright red panties (you know they’ll come off soon, you probably won’t even need to wash them!).

Any red blooded guy loves sexy bras.  I remember one scene in Howard Stern’s movie “Private Parts” where he’s ranting and raving about something, and the actress who plays his wife Allison takes off her shirt and has a sexy bra on, and he goes “wait, is that a new bra” and becomes like putty in her hands after being irate about something not seconds before.

It’s amazing, the power a gorgeous push up bra can have. Instead of getting red to signify passion and hot sex on Valentines day, you could also opt for the prettier, softer and more feminine color pink. That one also might be a little more practical since you can probably re-wear it as an every day bra.

Red bras are hot, that’s right, but they’re not exactly practical because of their bright, dark and bold color, which tends to stick out like a sore thumb if you happen to have a tiny bit of strap sticking out of if you’re wearing a shirt that is even the slightest bit see through.

Red is definitely the color of love and passion though, and men tend to go nuts when women wear it, especially brunettes for some reason.

Red panties really signify hot passion too. They seem to say “I know that I’m not gonna be on long, so I want to make a statement for as long as I’m here!”

Well, everyone is probably getting ready to go out and do their thing, or maybe they are staying in and having some cocktails and watching movies.  Whatever you choose to do this New Year’s Eve, we here at Breast News Magazine want to wish you a wonderful, happy and above all, safe, NEW YEAR.

Hello everybody!  All my loyal readers, first time readers, never-readers and more. This is a great big shout out to everyone in this wonderful world of ours to have a Merry, Merry Christmas. No matter what your faith, this is a season of giving, sharing, reflecting on what we are grateful for, and peace, friends and family.

Let’s take a moment to remember and pray for those that may not be as blessed as we are, who may be going through hard times or have experienced unfortunate circumstances.  Let us also remember charity, and remember to donate to our favorite causes during this time of economic certainty.

Every little bit makes a difference, and if we can just give a little, well then that’s what we can do, and that’s better than ok – it’s awesome.  Love you guys, and have a wonderful and safe holiday this year.

The TSA and the new full body scanners, as well as the incredibly invasive body searches that are occurring as the nation faces terror threats and increasing pressure to be more secure at airports, is getting a TON of publicity as of late. Why? Because, understandably, US passengers are pretty outraged that they have to be subjected to this type of extremely invasive searching.

We here in the US are pretty used to privacy and minimum interference by the government and other entities, and it seems that lately our privacy and freedom are being hindered more and more in the name of national security and safety. Where do I stand on the issue? I’m not entirely sure.

I’m up in the air on whether to be outraged over this one or not. The reason for my lack of taking sides on this issue yet is number one, I have not been subjected to the invasive body searches yet, and so I don’t yet have the personal experience to back up an informed opinion.

Two, part of me feels like this type of invasiveness may be necessary in an age of such uncertainty and increasing threats that are being received on our safety as a nation.  One woman was recently even forced to show her prosthetic breast to TSA officials.

I mean, I get that they need to be sure she’s not concealing anything ,but then again, this is a humiliating and tactless way to get to the bottom of things. I would at least hope that they give these folks the dignity of taking them aside where no one else can see them to hash these types of issues out, but then you have the mere embarrassment of being singled out and taken away as well.

I’m not sure that the TSA can avoid hurting all feelings if they are to truly treat everyone as if they are a potential terror threat, you know?  I’m not sure what the answer is on this one. I really feel for the woman who had to show her prosthetic breast in a security line, I mean that’s clearly embarrassing and humiliating, but I wonder how else these types of issues can be handled without seemingly trouncing on someone’s freedom and ego.

Hello there, I wanted to take this opportunity to tell everyone to have a wonderful, happy, safe and more importantly delicious Thanksgiving today!  Go ahead and stuff yourself to the gills with all those naughty foods that you will most likely forsake when the fattening holidays are over! Have fun!  And HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

You’ve probably seen this on the news, and I just think it’s a shame how “politically correct” everything has to be sometimes, especially when it’s a totally harmless and even a little silly word like “boobies” that causes people’s panties to get in a bunch.  I mean really – boobies is a dirty word now?  I’ll admit, the sound of it makes me laugh. Because it’s just a stupid, silly word for a part of the female anatomy that happens to get cancer somewhat easily, and which is in dire need of hard research and resources to help get rid of it and bring new treatments to the forefront.

That’s what has happened at several schools nationwide, where kids are wearing the “I (heart) boobies” rubber bracelets, which retail for about $4 a pop and have sold like wildfire to a younger generation, to try to get them to learn about and be aware of breast cancer and how to help do something about it. Are the bracelets designed to be obnoxious and pushing the boundaries of appropriateness, but that is why they sold so well with the younger generation, because they were edgy, and they like that.

All of the money that has been raised by these silly little bracelets is anything but silly – it’s to the tune of millions of dollars – and it’s all going right into a nonprofit organization based in California that researches breast cancer and tries to find solutions to one of the biggest female health problems ever known.

School officials are banning it from being worn in schools because they say the language is not appropriate. I get that they need to draw the line with decency and respect in schools, but I’m wondering if this sensitivity is going a bit too far? Perhaps they’re worried that it might objectify female students and offend them? I’m not really sure. Of course if it was all guys wearing them, I think they may have a point, but there are also girls out there wearing them.

Then again, I’m trying to imagine a bracelet saying something like “I love penises” for penis health awareness, or “I love prostates” for prostate health awareness. I think the first would be banned, but the second may not. Hey, at least they don’t say something totally vulgar about crotches or something, right!?
