Are Breast Implants Always “Hard” to the Touch?
It’s hard to say that all breast implants many times feel hard to the touch, but there are many implants that do, and that’s just because they are not a really soft material like natural breast tissue is, and it’s very hard to mimic real breast tissue in the breast augmentation process, no matter how good the implants get in mimicking real, soft breast tissue. I’ve heard this complaint a lot from women who have breast implants, sometimes even the ones who have silicone breast implants, which are supposed to be a lot softer and more pliable feeling than the saline ones are.
I’ve even heard some men complain that their partners implants are hard to the touch, and that they like when their partner is going through hormonal changes in preparation for her period because her breasts actually feel natural, thanks to the “additional padding” they get from the hormone changes and the swelling of the breast tissue – the real breast tissue. Many women even go for breast implant alternatives that help to add more natural tissue to their breasts over their implants because they don’t feel that their breast implants move or feel like natural breasts and would like to add more of their own tissue to them to make them more realistic and pleasant to touch and look at.
This is terrible, but I heard a popular radio show co host talking about his ex girlfriend, who he had just had a terrible, non-amicable breakup with, and who happened to be a very desirable looking woman, ripping on how her breast implants felt. He said something like “sure they look great in clothes” but added that they felt hard, like a bag of rocks, to the touch. This is unfortunately the case with lots of breast implants.
Not only do you have the unnatural feel of the implant itself, but they often get harder over time because some women build up scar tissue around them as a defense mechanism the body shows in response to having a foreign device in their body, and this adds to the hardness, so women are forced to deal with the implant itself and the scar tissue causing the extra feeling of hardness of the breast.
And if you get cold, forget it, your implants feel like rocks, hopefully they will come out with some better, but safe, options that really make your breasts look and feel natural, until then, I don’t blame women for hating this part about their implants.
