Maidenform Smooth Bra, for No Lines

Well, I found a bra that I can actually live with, although as I’ve spoken of many times before, I’d love nothing more than for bras to go out of fashion – permanently, and take the way of the dodo bird, but I know that may not happen in my lifetime so I guess I just have to settle for the most comfy, unobtrusive bras I can find for now.  And they are hard to find, that’s for sure!

I did happen to find one that I kinda like though at Kohl’s for about $24 recently though, called a Smooth Bra, by veteran bra and intimates maker Maidenform.  The idea behind the “Smooth” bra by Maidenform is that it doesn’t show any lines when you wear a thinner shirt, say a cotton tshirt or some other thinner material where many times normal bras would show a line through them, and you can see the entire outline of the bra through the back of the shirt.

Maidenform even puts a sort of “before and after” picture of the bra on a woman who’s wearing a regular old bra in the before picture, and you can see the entire outline of the bra through her shirt, and in the after picture she is wearing the Smooth bra by Maidenform, and you can’t even tell she’s wearing a bra.  They achieve this by making the straps and the back of the bra out of a very thin material that is almost as thin as paper at the ends somehow, yet feels like fabric.

Some of the Maidenform Smooth line even has plastic straps so as to further minimize the intrusiveness of the bra, and perhaps even to make it less transparent when wearing clothes that may have a thin see through fabric which requires either the same colored bra or no color at all – aka, clear.  I don’t know about the clear plastic straps though, strictly a preference thing for me to have regular fabric on my shoulders!

The only thing I don’t like about the Maidenform Smooth bra I chose is the underwire, which can be a bit obtrusive, but as long as you adjust your shoulder straps to the right length, you shouldn’t have a problem with it coming up and over the breasts as often, or simply being annoying by just being there and being felt.

Vitamin D May Benefit Breast Cancer Patients

There is new evidence that the vitamin that is produced by the body when the body is exposed to sunlight, Vitamin D, may have benefits for breast cancer patients, which is part of an ongoing controversy about whether sunlight is any good for the body, and specifically, for breast cancer patients.  The reason this became an issue was that breast cancer patients that died of the disease had less of the Vitamin in their body than those who were still living and had battled it.

The statistic that was drawn from this evidence came to the conclusion that those with less of the vitamin in their body had a much higher chance of dying of breast cancer than those who had the vitamin in their blood.  The upshot of this finding is that some doctors are recommending sunlight exposure a couple times a week, without sunscreen so that the body can utilize the sun exposure for the production of Vitamin D, which is in fact a vital vitamin to the body that some are not getting enough of because of the use of extremely high SPF sunscreens today.

With all this information, scientists still aren’t saying they know how much Vitamin D is sufficient to prevent the return of lessen the severity of breast cancer, but they would like to work on that part.  They also say that Vitamin D supplements generally don’t profoundly affect the levels of the specific Vitamin D that was found to perhaps lengthen the life spans of those with breast cancer, which is the kind that is produced only from the sunlight by the body.

Vitamin D studies in animals does show promise for several types of cancer development though, showing that the vitamin helps to deter the spread of cancer and the formation of abnormal cancer cells, and hinders the growth of blood vessels which feed tumors, which is very promising to say the least.

They just need to get closer to how women specifically should use this knowledge to help prevent breast cancer and prolong their lives if they do have breast cancer, if there is even any way to stop it after it has already started, or whether Vitamin D levels had to be already present to prevent the cancer from worsening in the first place.

Teen Exercise May Help Against Later Breast Cancer Development

In the war against breast cancer, and more important, the increasing awareness the prevention is the best measure when it comes to breast cancer, there appears to be a new bit of evidence that may encourage young women to start exercising if they haven’t already, and at the very least, may encourage women to sway their young daughters into begininning exercise routines early in life rather than waiting until their twenties or even later.

The reason is that evidence is pointing to the fact that women are seeming to be more resillient to breast cancer if they report starting to exercise and work out at younger ages.  When I read this, I couldn’t help but smile, because I myself had started working out at a young age, I believe I was 14 when I started doing my aerobics tapes and running, so I consider myself lucky that I became aware of the need for physical fitness early on.  Although admittedly back then I was doing it all for vanity purposes :)

The new evidence that younger exercisers may have more resistance to breast cancer is showing that it may be beneficial for girls to start as early on as twelve years old, and to keep this going until they are into their adolescence to keep their risks low, since exercising after menopause is especially also one of the best defenses against breast cancer.

So, how did researchers find this information out, if they weren’t actually tracking a lot of women from age twelve on?  Well, questionnairs of course!  They found that more women who reported starting an exercise regimen earlier in life – ie their teens or even their so called tweens, had a better chance of not getting the dreaded cancer as compared to their counterparts who either started later in life or never started at all.

Again, how many more reasons do we need to get lots of physical activity in our lives?  It seems the evidence speaks for itself – exercise is a great antidote to risky diseases and may increase our longevity and health during our lifespan dramatically.

Bust Fuel for Men Contd.

I received further correspondence from a male who is currently using Bust Fuel as a product for transgender breast growth and likes it and had one additional question on it and a comment about Transfemme, which we talked about in the last few posts as well.  Enjoy!

Comment : You just proved why I have SO MUCH CONFADIANCE in what you say.
TRANSFEME made my skin SOFT but it is so expensive and has SO MANY rules I don’t care for like NO FLORIDE it’s in your toothpaste, take it one hour after eating and they sell protein powder (real expensive I BUY MINE AT WAL MART).

BUST FUEL was also recommended in the literature you sent and that’s what I’m taking because it makes my skin soft ALSO!!!!!!

I have been doing my homework for years on BREAST GROWTH and I know BOUNTIFUL BREAST (TRANSFEME) says you can take it for years but I READ SOMETHING ABOUT YOU’RE NOT SUPPOSED TO TAKE A HERBAL PRODUCT for transgender breast growth MORE THAN 9mo.

Is that right?

Answer : Right, nine months at a time, to give yourself a break is what I’ve read elsewhere.  Not sure if this means that you can take it though again after giving your body a rest from the herbs for a certain amount of time – this may be something to ask Bust Fuel about.  I’m pretty sure that Transfemme product also says the same thing about the nine month rule too, so maybe it’s just a rule of thumb to give your body a break and let it normalize again.  I know, Transfemme is on the high side, which is why it’s good there are also less expensive herbal alternatives to use as well that work.  Good luck!

How to Grow Male Breasts Question

On the topic again of how to grow male breasts for men who want to feminize their appearance by growing feminine breast tissue, this time with herbal products that many times have similar ingredients and formulas, of course with varying degrees of efficacy and effectiveness, I received an email from a male asking a question about conflicting information on herbal products for male breast growth encouragement, and I answered as best I can, although I generally cannot speak to anyone’s individual situation and this is an opinion, I always have to refer a person back to the maker of a certain questioned product since they usually have the best resolution since they created the product in the first place.

Question :

Over the YEARS I have E-MAILED you MANY times with questions about breast growth.
In my opinion you are the BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ll tell you why I say that.

It all started YEARS AGO when I decided I wanted larger breast but EVERY web site says a different brand is best or worse so over the YEARS it’s no telling what I’ve spent trying MOST of them and from time to time I’d have questions and I found out by XXXXXXXXXXXX you knew more than their consultant.

As you know and I FOUND OUT some or most are nothing but junk.

After all those years I guess I’m an A CUP but I’m a male and males have a steady supply of testerone.
BUST FUEL makes my skin SOFT so I’m going with it and the PRICE IS RIGHT. (WHAT DO YOU THINK)

What I’m confused about is their web site says it’s PERMANENT but it seems to me that would ONLY apply to the female gender because they have a steady supply of estrogen.
Am I missing something?

Answer :

With herbal supplements, sometimes there needs to be a sort of maintenance of periodic use of the product, usually at lower doses, if any growth deteriorates over time after the product is discontinued.  However, this varies per product specification as well as per the individual’s body chemistry, diet, and a variety of other factors that make us all biologically different from one another, and it’s best to contact the specific maker directly to ask what to do if your results diminish.

I just got done communicating with a man who has had great success with the Transfemme product.  In fact, he had great growth results and has sent numerous pictures if you want to look at them here Transfemme Pill Results and see how to grow male breasts.  And he even welcomes questions and feedback about his indivudal results with  the product from other men if you want to email him at his email address, which is provided on the page I just referred you to.

Hope this helps, and good luck with whatever you choose to do to further feminize your body!

to add my E:mail address.I would love to get some feedback on
my developing breasts and what peoples thoughts are.
Thanks again for your time,
Hope you are well.
BNM :

Hey there!  Yeah, I got your first email, I’ve had family in town for the past two weeks, so it’s been really hectic, I’ve been meaning to get back to you :)   I will definitely add your new email to the sites where I have your pics!  Thanks for letting me do that, it’s nice to allow others to see someone’s success.  I looked at the pics and they are amazing still.
As far as whether the tenderness would spread, I couldn’t really tell you for sure, that might be a question more for the Transfemme people, and it could certainly vary per person where they feel any tenderness, so it may also actually be an “individual thing” whether your tenderness goes to the general breast tissue area.
I know for me personally, during times of hormonal changes in my body, my nipple area does get sore, but also sometimes the whole general breast area picks up the soreness too, so it could depend on any hormonal activity as well going on at the specific time.  Well, thanks again for keeping me up to date.  I’ll work on getting your email address added today – I’m determined to get “back in the swing of things” this weekend :)

Breast Swelling and Vein Visibility

I have noticed a trend that I have to be honest, I don’t like.  Of course, I love the times of the month when my breasts swell and become larger, it’s fun, I must admit.  Every month, I have a window of 1-3 days where my breasts become very tender but also larger, maybe by a half cup size or so, which is quite a bit I think, and it’s always correlated to my monthly menstruation cycle because my hormones cycle around and make the breasts swell up for some reason.

However, along with this pleasant swelling, but not so pleasant soreness and tenderness, comes an unsightly side effect, which involves my veins being plainly visible through my skin on my breasts.  I actually thought of this the other day because i saw a picture of a very pregnant Angelina Jolie who happened to be wearing a cleavage-showing dress, and her breasts had the same thing I experience every month – you could see through her skin and see her veins on the top of her breasts -it’s like your skin become more translucent, or perhaps because the breast tissue is swelled up and out, the veins are just more visible during time of swelling.

At any rate, my boyfriend and I get a good laugh out of this when it happens, because of course he can’t take his eyes off of them when they get bigger, but there’s also the aspect that we call the “translucent” skin theory where my skin seems to have suddenly become as thin as paper since my inner veins are now so visible.  Actually, I’m about due for my monthly vein spotting, so here we go again!  Sorry for a gross topic, but I actually think it’s kind of funny.

Estrogen Equals Testosterone in Female Competition

It seems the estrogen for women equates what the male sex hormone testosterone does in the body and in the mind as far as creating feelings of competition and rivalry.  We all know how we say that men are more competitive by nature than women, and that the competitive hormone responsible for their go get ‘em and kill ‘em attitudes in life is testosterone, which also is said to fuel agression in men, and even may have a role in that in women as well since women do have small amounts of testosterone as well in their bodies, and vice versa for men when it comes to estrogen.

How do researchers know that estrogen plays a role in competition and the drive to win in women?  Well, like men, they’ve tested women’s estrogen levels after they’ve won something of a competitive nature and found that their estrogen levels pretty much went through the roof, and also fell significantly when they lost a competitive event, proving that estrogen is the same role player for the need to win and competition in men as testosterone is for the male.

So, ladies, guess we’re a lot more biologically driven to succeed and win in competitive sports and game than we realized, eh?  This doesn’t surprise me, and if I were to throw a bit of an evolutionary theory out there of my own, I’d say women these days are probably a lot more competitive as well because we’ve gained such independence and freedom as of late, considering we used to play a more docile and “quiet” role way back when.

We now have jobs and careers and rear families, so our senses of competition and accomplishment is every bit as needed as it is in a man, if not more, since we still feel we need to prove something in many situations, which is an unfortunate biproduct of years of repression.  The research recently conducted on estrogen’s role in power and dominance need showed that women with more of a power need and thoughts of dominance and winning happened to also have higher overall levels of estrogen.

Are we going to have to come up with a term for an “alpha female” now?

Protecting Your Nipples in a Tanning Booth

Tanning boothes have not really waned in popularity, even in the wake of lots of bad PR about how bad those UV rays are for you, how they prematurely age the skin and can facilitate the start of skin cancers as well.  However, while there are a lot of negatives about tanning under the UV lamps that have been made so popular over the years, there are actually some up sides as well.

For instance, UV therapy can help with psoriasis, it can help to increase your positive moods in the winter, since one of the reasons we get depressed in the winter months when there is not a lot of sunlight is that we do not get enough exposure to sunlight, it helps in some cases to clear up acne, although it needs to be done in very miniscule quantities to do so, otherwise it will actually aggravate it, and it of course makes you feel fantastically sexy with a golden brown color!

One of the things you’ve got to watch for though in a tanning booth, or heck, if you happen to like sun bathing topless in your yard or on a topless beach, is to watch that your nipples don’t get too much sun exposure.  If your nipples get too much exposure to the UV rays, it can actually harm them and even eventually discolor them or alter their appearance.

Some women may choose to rectify this by wearing a bikini top in the tanning booth or always wearing one when sunbathing outdoors, or they can put some form of “pasties”, which are those dubious little things that caused such a ruckus in the Janet Jackson Super Bowl debacle a few years back.  They stick to the nipple part of the breasts, and are a staple at many burlesques because they cover just enough of the nipple to make it a “tease” that you are not seeing the whole breast.

Among other things to protect, you probably don’t ever really want to expose your facial skin for very long, because UV light does accelerate aging, so you may want to wear a powerful SPF on your face when tanning, or do what many others do, and cover your face with a little hand towel that they usually give out in tanning salons, which will guarantee that you won’t get any UV filtration, as long as you at least double it up and fold it on your face as many times as possible to make sure there’s no penetration.

Majority of New Mothers Now Breastfeed Their Infants

Wow, this certainly is a little against what we’ve talked about in the past, but it seems that the trend now is that new moms are nursing their infants on breast milk rather than bottle feeding them.  I guess I say that it goes against some previous info and speculation, because of women entering the workforce so much nowadays, and perhaps not having adequate time to first breastfeed, and then also pump breast milk.

The number of breastfeeding new moms has reached staggering, and perhaps even recently record breaking numbers – experts are estimating roughly 77% of new moms are breast feeding their babies now.  They attribute this extreme rise to education about breast feeding benefits, such as greatly enhanced immunity for the infant, better brain and organ development, and the speculation that breastfeeding also helps the baby when they are full grown with things like obesity and other potentially life threatening diseases and physical weaknesses.

Dang, and I wasn’t breastfed!  Should I blame my mom for not breastfeeding me for all of my physcial and mental shortcomings?  I keed, of course!  But you get my drift, the pressure is on for women to breastfeed these days, and it’s not necessarily an unwelcome pressure for most new moms, who only want to give their infants the best start in life and want them to be healthy and happy babies.

It also increases the bonding between mother and child, so this is another added benefit to breast feeding that most likely has contributed to it’s overwhelming popularity as of late.  Of the most affected groups, surveyors say that African American women have made the greatest progress in breast feeding, with their number statistically at a higher increase than other racial groups.

The more I read about breast feeding’s benefits, the more I do think that it will be the way I go if I ever choose to have a child.  It is still of course a personal decision and choice, as it should be, but the evidence is overwhelmingly abundant of it’s continued benefits over bottle/formula feeding.
