Does Smoking Increase Breast Cancer Risk?

Posted in Breast Cancer Prevention by Breast News Girl on the September 28th, 2007

There have been so many studies going back and forth and back and forth on whether cigarette smoking actually increases the odds of getting breast cancer or not.  Some say that active cigarette smoking does not, or should not actually cause breast cancer, while others say that it does.  Some say that several years of cigarette smoking will add the risk factors of developing breast cancer among other cancers, but won’t really specify how much more the risk increases from years of smoking.

I mean, personally, I’d say from a logical standpoint that since smoking cigarettes, among other lung-blackening items, can increase your odds of getting any type of cancer.  Let me explain my reasoning, which won’t sound all that scientific, since I’m ont a doctor, but nonetheless, it does follow logic on the matter.

If you smoke, you deplete your blood supply of oxygen, and also increase the amount of harmful free radicals, which are compounds created by smoking.  Free radicals actually attack healthy cells.  Therefore, it would only be logical to deduce that if it’s killing healthy cells, it may also assist in their mutation from normal, healthy, productive cells.

The very definition of cancer is the mutation of healthy cells into unhealthy cells, and if you’ve got free radicals going about killing healthy cells, it only follows that it may also be creating unhealthy, mutated cells in its wake, or at least depleting the system of healthy cells, allowing the bad ones to take over more readilly.

Make sense?  to me it does, but like I said, I’m no scientist.  At any rate, we do know that smoking causes lung cancer, so we can assume it may also cause other types.  No matter what the latest study says about cigarette smoking and breast cancer ( I think the latest one actually does strongly link the two ), I think we better play it safe and figure that avoiding smoking is the best thing we can do for our breast health, to maintain cancer free, healthy breasts for as long as we live.

New Transfemme Pictures

I received an updated email from Jaymes, the man who also sent these Transfemme results pictures in, and he has made absolutely amazing progress on this male to female breast enhancement supplement.  See pics and corresponding info below :
These pictures are of his breasts, even after he stopped taking the supplement for two months, he said they kept on growing larger, and he actually straps them back sometimes in public to keep too much attention off of them.

Acupuncture for Breast Enhancement?

Posted in Natural Breast Enhancement & Enlargement by Breast News Girl on the September 22nd, 2007

This was the first I had ever heard of this type of natural breast enhancement, but I had a woman email me the other day about whether I  knew or could recommend anyone who knew how to perform breast enhancement acupuncture.  Apparently she had searched online and could not find anyone specializing in this type of natural breast enhancement here in the US, she could only find this in foreign countries in Asia.

I do apologize, but I have never heard that there was such an acupuncture treatment that is supposed to help enhance the breasts naturally.  If anyone has, and knows anything, even a little about it, we’d sure appreciate it if you’d post it on Breast News magazine so that we can all learn a little more about this intriguing treatment process and a definitely very alternative method to breast augmentation or even enhancement.

I know that acupuncture is designed to work on pressure points, and I think it may even have something to do with manupulation of the nerves, but again, I know very little about the field of acupuncture to begin with.  I cannot venture to guess how this type of manipulation would help to stimulate breast growth, but hey, there are lots of things that work that don’t seem like they would!

Again, if anyone who is reading knows anything or has heard anything about acupuncture for breast enhancement, please post it, so we can all learn something new.  thanks

Zoft Breast Enhancement Gum Question

Posted in Natural Breast Enhancement & Enlargement by Breast News Girl on the September 19th, 2007

I had gotten this emailed question about the Zoft natural breast enhancement gum that seems to be causing a bit of a sensation.  Read on, it’s anonymous, of course.

Question :
hi, i would like to ask you a few questions.
first where can you buy zoft, is it a over the counter product you can buy at wal-mart?
also how much does it cost to buy.
how long does this take till you can see a difference?
please e-mail me back on this e-mail a.s.a.p
thank you!
Answer :
Zoft breast enhancement gum is a unique product, because it basically slow-releases natural breast enhancing phytochemicals (plant based) into the blood stream and since it is chewed for a period of time, the “gum” delivery system is supposed to be pretty effective, from what I understand.  Zoft is not sold in stores as far as I know.  You would need to purchase it online here.
As far as how long it takes to see a difference, this is totally indivudally based.  Some may not see a difference, or feel a difference for weeks, while others may feel it right away.  This is because we all have very different metabolic rates, for one, as well as very different ways our bodies process things.
This is kind of the same logic behind why one type of pain reliever may work great on one person, and may not even begin to relieve pain in others, or why some beauty products may be great for one person, but not another.  We have unique body chemistries, so to guarantee a certain time frame is not being completely up front, or is misinformed.
Good luck if you choose Zoft breast enhancement gum as a natural breast enhancer.

Airline Throws Women off for Having Big Boobs?

Posted in Breasts in the News by Breast News Girl on the September 16th, 2007

When I read this story, it actually infuriated me, as I know it infuriated the young college women whom it happened to.  When I saw the actual outfit that the young lady, whose name is Kyla Ebbert, was wearing when she was confronted by a male flight attendant on Southwest Airlines, I got even more upset, because, yes, it was sexy, but so what - she’s got a kicking body, and she’s in her early twenties - I defy you to show me a woman who doesn’t want to dress in a sexy way at that age!

Her outfit didn’t even show any cleavage, and I personally believe the fact that this young lady was very well endowed had something to do with her untimely lecture from the flight attendant.  Here’s how the story goes.  Kyla was sitting on the plane, listening to the flight attendant go over their pre-flight information, when a male flight attendant approached her and asked to speak with her.

Kyla said that he informed her that she was dressed too provocatively to fly on this “family” flight, and that if she wanted to take this particular flight, she’d have to change her clothes.  She informed him that she didn’t even bring any luggage with her.  She had a doctors appointment, and had to make this particular flight, and what else could she do?  She asked him what part of her outfit was inappropriate, the shirt, the skirt, what?  He said the whole thing and something to the effect that it was too revealing.

Believe me, this outfit, yes, it was tight, it was sexy - but it wasn’t a friggin bra and underwear or anything.  Really, I hope this girl gets an apology, because this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.  Makes me wonder if this flight attendant noticed this himself, or if someone on the flight complained.  Either way, this girl is seriously owed an apology.  She said it was humiliating and she cried the whole flight, because everyone was staring at her after she took her seat (they came to an agreement that is she pulled her skirt down and pulled her top up, which by the way, covered up everything in the first place).

Ludicrous, absolutely ludicrous.  They should be looking for knives and bombs, not cleavage or too much skin, for God’s sake.

Weight Gain and Breast Enhancement : Question

Posted in Natural Breast Enhancement & Enlargement, Pills for Breast Enhancement by Breast News Girl on the September 12th, 2007

A reader had this fairly common question about potential weight gain and natural breast enhancement, and here is the question and answer, anonymously, of course.  Breast enhancement pills are made of all sorts of different ingredients, so it cannot be guaranteed that they will not cause some sort of (usually temporary) weight gain unfortunately.  Oh, and she asked about a natural breast enhancement product called Embrace, which unfortunately I’ve never heard of.

Question :

Hi,
Have you heard about EMBRACE breast enlargement supplements and cream?
Are they effective? Do you know if they cause weight gain? Weight gain is my most important concern with breast enlaregment pills. Do you know of one that definately doesnt cause weight gain? what about Breast Gan Plus?
Is Embrace better than Breast Gain Plus?
Answer :
No, I have never heard of Embrace, this is a new one to me, so cannot offer any feedback on that one.  Weight gain can never be guaranteed not to happen with any of these supplements, no matter what you choose, but I have heard that any weight gain is usually temporary, if it even occurs if that is of any comfort.  Please see below for further recommendation…

Reasons for African American Deadly Breast Cancer Explained

Posted in Breast Cancer Prevention by Breast News Girl on the September 9th, 2007

At least partially.  Doctors have known for a long time that breast cancer statistically has proven to be a more deadly disease for black women than for women of other races.  They just were not 100% sure on why that was, whether it was the quality of health care african american women received was different, their genetic makeup made for more agressive cancers, or any other possible explanation for the discrepancy.

Now, they do think they have the answer.  Black women actually have a different type of breast cancer more often, one that is agressive and hormonally based and therefore requires a hormonal treatment.  The hormone inhibiting treatments that are administered to black women have proven in tests to not do the trick, and for some reason they are more genetically immune to these popular therapies.

This may mean that they have to either come up with new and better treatments specifically targeted to african american women, or that they need to address their health care, both preventive, and cancer treatment in a totally different way, diagnoses and all.  They are making great strides in breast cancer recently, and helping to ensure that this disease is not more deadly to one segment of the population is a surefire way to help all women as well, as it will inevitably also lead to further discoveries about the disease which claims so many women.

Gynecomastia Affects Nearly 30% Adult Men

Posted in Breasts in the News by Breast News Girl on the September 6th, 2007

Gynecomastia, or the condition not so affectionately referred to by some less than tactful people as “man boobs”, affects a lot more men and even more boys in their adolescents than we thought.  Statistics recently released show that up to 30% of adult men today suffer some form of gynecomastia, the condition where a man’s breasts grow like a woman’s, and the man develops a saggy looking “breast” where his pec muscles should be.

This condition is often embarrassing and uncomfortable for men, and often the reason that men do not like to disrobe in front of partners, or God forbig, in front of others, such as on a public beach.  Surgery to correct the gynecomastia condition can be performed, but of course it would be at a cost, as most insurance companies unfortunately do not look at gynecomastia surgery as a medical necessity, but rather as more of a cosmetic elective surgery, since it is not life threatening and does not really affect health, except the mental health of the patient who has it.

Surgery involves going in and liposuctioning the fat out of the breast pocket, then going in and either tightening the remaining tissue and removing the gland, or simply tightening the tissue, depending on the specific procedure and the doctor who is performing it.  Not only is this condition disconcerting for full grown men, but it also plagues boys going through puberty, as often times there are hormonal imbalances in their bodies, which lead to the production of breast tissue due to a possible overflow of the female hormone estrogen.

Jenna Jameson Gets Her Breast Implants Taken Out

Posted in Celebrity Breasts by Breast News Girl on the September 3rd, 2007

Jenna Jameson, the adult film star extraordinnaire, has revealed that after a long time with varying breast implants in her breasts, she has finally decided to remove them.  The reasons is she said that she felt shy when she had them in.  She said she wasn’t comfortable wearing a bathing suit or tighter shirts because they were so large and overbearing that that is all that people looked at (go figure).

She said that taking the breast implants out has been a major improvement in her life, and very liberating.  She looks terrific too.  They look just right, not overly big, like porn boobs, but tasteful, classy and non-overbearing breasts, the way they were meant to be.  I’m sure she also has a lot less back pain now, those babies had to have caused some serious back issues.

Jenna also looks like she’s gained some weight back, which was very needed.  If you read tabloids or online gossip mags (I’m guilty of reading these addictive things, I’ll admit it), she lost drastic weight when going through a nasty divorce with her husband who it sounds like was trying to get a lot of money in the divorce settlement.  She looks very healthy and gorgeous now, and hopefully she’ll stay that way.  We don’t need any more skeletors in Hollywood, that’s for sure.
